"Toil & Perseverance" embodies the principles of hard work and perseverance. At TGSS, this is part of everyday life. From the very beginning, students learn that success requires effort and persistence.

The school’s lessons, projects, and activities encourage students to work hard and think deeply. Outside the classroom, sports, arts, and leadership clubs help students build determination. Teachers are patient mentors who believe in every student’s potential and work hard to help them succeed. Challenges are seen as chances to grow stronger.

SCHOLASTIC PROGRAMME

At TGSS, every stage of schooling is thoughtfully designed to nurture children as they grow—academically, emotionally, socially, and creatively.

Guided by the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, our programs ensure that children develop the right skills at the right time while enjoying their learning journey.

We balance Academic Excellence with opportunities for exploration in Art, Music, Dance, Computer Science & Robotics, Physical Education, and Guidance, helping every child grow into a confident, well-rounded individual.

 

1. Foundational Stage

Ages 3-8 ( M1-Grade II )

Years Covered: 3 years of preschool (M1–M3) + 2 years of primary (Classes 1 & 2)

Focus: Play, exploration, and early skill-building

• Children learn best when they are curious and joyful. At this stage, we use play-based and activity-based methods that keep learning fun and engaging.

• Emphasis is placed on language development, early numeracy skills, and social-emotional growth (such as sharing, teamwork, and confidence building).

• Storytelling, music, rhymes, and hands-on activities help children build vocabulary and imagination.

• Foundational literacy and numeracy programs prepare them for a smooth transition into primary school.

Parents will notice that children in this stage grow more confident, begin communicating clearly, and show readiness to take on structured learning.

 

2. Preparatory Stage

Ages 8-11 ( Grade III-V )

Focus: Building strong academic foundations and encouraging curiosity

• The language and numeracy base is further strengthened to ensure children can read, write, and calculate with confidence.

• Subjects such as science, social studies, and environmental awareness are introduced in greater depth, always taught through activities, projects, and classroom interactions.

• Learning is hands-on and discovery-oriented—children conduct experiments, explore nature, and ask questions that develop their reasoning skills.

• Co-curricular opportunities in art, music, dance, and sports give children space to explore their creativity and talents.

By the end of this stage, children become independent learners with strong communication skills and the ability to connect ideas across subjects.

 

3. Middle Stage

Ages 11-14 ( Grade VI - VIII ) ( From 2025 onwards)

Focus: Experiential learning, critical thinking, and deeper subject knowledge

• Students begin to engage with formal academic disciplines in greater depth—mathematics, sciences, social sciences, languages, and humanities.

• Teaching methods shift to experiential learning: lab experiments, group projects, debates, and research-based assignments.

• Emphasis is placed on problem-solving, critical thinking, and application of knowledge in real-life contexts.

• Exposure to technology, computer science, and robotics fosters digital literacy and innovation.

• Arts, sports, and leadership opportunities help students discover their strengths and develop self-confidence.

This is the stage when children transition from "learning to read" to truly “reading to learn"—gaining independence in their thinking and ownership of their education.

 

4. Secondary Stage & Senior Secondary Stage

Age 14-18 ( Grade IX - XII ) ( From 2029 onwards)

Focus: Multidisciplinary learning and preparation for higher studies, specialization, career readiness, and independent thinking

• Students follow a comprehensive academic program across core subjects—mathematics, science, social science, and languages— with equal emphasis on the arts, technology, and physical education.

• From senior secondary stage students choose from a range of subject combinations across Science, Commerce, and Humanities, allowing them to align their studies with their future goals.

• At this stage, the curriculum emphasizes conceptual clarity, analytical ability, and structured problem-solving. The program balances academic rigor with opportunities to develop leadership, research skills, and higher-order problem-solving abilities.

• Project work, practicals, and presentations prepare students for board examinations while also nurturing creativity and critical reasoning.

• Guidance and mentoring support students in identifying their interests and skills, laying the foundation for subject choices in Senior Secondary school. Continuous mentoring helps students prepare for university admissions, competitive exams, and professional pathways.

• Beyond academics, students continue to engage in sports, arts, and community initiatives, shaping them into responsible and confident young adults.
